Timber, wood & pallet marking
Marking timber, wood and pallets — from handheld printers that apply IPPC or company logos to an IP65 inkjet printer that PACODE lists for the wood industry.
01 Coding challenges
What needs marking in timber & wood
PACODE names timber on its About page and lists wood among the industries for Integra Ultimate. Wood is also on the About page’s list of printable materials.
Much timber marking happens away from a fixed conveyor — on stacked boards, pallets and large pieces — so handheld inkjet printers do a lot of the work. PACODE’s page for the REINER jetStamp 1025 names pallets and the IPPC logo directly, and REINER’s datasheet adds accessories for rough wood and Euro pallets.
- 01
Logos and marks on pallets
The jetStamp 1025 prints graphics such as the IPPC logo or a company logo, plus text, dates, numbers and 1D/2D barcodes — PACODE lists it for pallets, cardboard and packaging.
Mobile & manual marking - 02
Rough surfaces and pallet blocks
REINER’s datasheet lists a 2-inch print extension with spikes for rough wooden surfaces and Euro pallets, and a centering aid for EPAL pallet blocks.
Mobile & manual marking - 03
Sporadic use, hard-to-reach printheads
Integra Ultimate closes and cleans its nozzle plate at every standstill — PACODE recommends it for printheads in hard-to-reach places or used sporadically, and lists the wood industry.
- 04
Marking without a fixed line
Handheld printers carry their own battery and print images created on a PC, so marking happens wherever the timber is.
